VentriPoint, University of Washington In R&D Deal

Seattle-based VentriPoint Diagnostics, which is developing diagnostic tools to monitor patients with heart disease, said Thursday that it has finalized a research and technology development agreement with the University of Washington. According to the firm, the University of Washington will create a comprehensive database of specific heart diseases, to be used by VentriPoint. Financial terms of the R&D deal were not disclosed. VentriPoint's technology is based on research from the University.
