Cray Lands More University Deals
Seattle-based supercomputer maker Cray revealed yesterday that it has added a number of new customers in the University sector. According to Cray, the City University of New York (CUNY), George Washington University in Washington, DC, and Yokohama City University in Japan have all purchased supercomputing systems from the company. Financial details of the new wins were not disclosed. the new customers follow recently announced wins at the University of Chicago and the University of Stuttgart. George Washington University has purchased a Cray XE6m; Yokohama also purchased a XE6m; and the University of Chicago has acquired a Cray XE6.
