VirtenSys Sites U.S. Headquarters in Oregon
VirtenSys Ltd., a U.K.-based publisher of optimization software for data centers, announced Thursday that it has opened its new U.S. headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. The facility will double as the company's systems engineering design center. VirtenSys explained that it chose the site because of the "vast pool" of engineering and systems expertise there. In a related announcement, VirtenSys reported that it has hired Ahmet Houssein as its president and chief executive officer. The company also said it has appointed Andy Roberts as chairman of its board of directors and added three people to its executive staff: Steve Calkins will serve as vice president of worldwide sales, Manoj Agnihotri will step in as vice president of systems development, and Hong Wong will serve as director of hardware architecture. VirtenSys' corporate headquarters are located in Manchester, England.
