Captaris Servicing $15.6M Contract with Germany

Captaris Inc., a publisher of digital document management and business process automation software, announced Tuesday that its Captaris Document Technologies subsidiary is servicing a contract with the German government that could be worth up to $15.6 million. Captaris said it has already installed some $3.4 million worth of hardware and software in several German states, with the remaining $12.2 million in orders to be recognized later this year and in early 2009. The Bellevue, Wash.-based company added that the contract includes a three-year maintenance and support agreement that begins in May. Captaris added that it is in discussions with contract partner Fujitsu Siemens Computers GmbH and other German states to secure additional orders.
