Captaris Buys Oce Document Technologies

Bellevue, Wash.-based Captaris said late Thursday evening that it has acgreed to buy German firm Oce Document Technologies GmbH. According to Captaris, it will acquire ODT for approximately EUR 10.4M in cash. Captaris said that ODT had revenues of approximately EUR 22.7M in 2007. ODT is a wholly owned subsidiary of Oce Group, a provides software for the document capture, text recognition, and document classification sector.
