Apcon Enhances Software
Wilsonville, Oregon-based Apcon, a developer of physical layer switching hardware for the networking market, said Tuesday that it has upgraded the firm's TITAN software. The firm's software is used to control the firm's switching hardware, and is used in test lab and enterprise network management. Among other enhancements, Apcon said the upgraded software now automatically selects data rates between devices; error messages when connections fail; and customized menus for individual users of the system. Apcon's products are used to re-wire test labs and network connections without requiring physical re-wiring, and are used for testing and running Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and other optical networks.
