Splashcast Loses Kirkpatrick

Portland, Oregon-based Splashcast, the online streaming media startup, has lost well known blogger Marshall Kirkpatrick, who said last night that he is leaving the firm for industry news blog Read/Write web. Kirkpatrick was Director of Content at Splashcast. Kirkpatrick had joined Splashcast in December of 2006, from the popular technology blog site Techcrunch. Kirkpatrick said that he is leaving Splashcast because he "got into this business because I want to be a reporter and a consultant -not a marketer."
