AMD Opens Lab In Redmond

AMD said today that it is opening a new Advanced Architecture and Technology Lab in Redmond, Washington, THe new lab will focus on technology and platform development for the microprocessor firm. AMD said the new lab will be led by Rich Witek, an AMD corporate fellow and chief architectural officer. The new center is expected to employ between 30 and 40 people.
