Platial Gets Funding From Kleiner, Omidyar Network
Platial, a Portland, Oregon-based startup developing an online map mashup service, has raised a round of venture capital from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Omidyar Network, and Sherpalo Ventures, Northwest Innovation has learned. According to CEO Di-Ann Eisnor, the round closed October 31st of last year. Platial's service allows anyone to create their own map mashups, and to mark your favorite places and locations in the world and add comments, notations, and tags. More information »
