Amazon.com Acquires Shopbop.com

Seattle-based Amazon.com has acquired Shopbop.com, an online retailer located in Madison, Wisconsin. Amazon said Monday that it will continue to operate the company as a stand-alone site, as a complement to its existing Apparel & Accessories Store. Shopbop.com carries lines from Marc Jacobs, Juicy Couture, and True Religion. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
