SmartRG Sets Engineering VP

Vancouver, Washington-based SmartRG, which makes gateways, accessories, and other equipment for the broadband access market, said this week that it has named Tim Bennington-Davis as the company's new Vice President of Engineering. Bennington-Davis was most recently Senior Director of Engineering at Ixia Communications, and also has served at VeriWave before its acquisition by Ixia, InFocus, and Tektronix. VeriWave, InFocus, and Tektronix are or were based in the Portland area. SmartRG makes ADSL and other related broadband gateway equipment.
