Sales University Acquired By EdCast
Seattle-based Sales University, which develops sales training apps used by salespeople and enterprise companies, has been acquired by Silicon Valley online and mobile learning startup EdCast, the two said this morning. Sales University is led by Kalpit Jain, and was founded in 2011 with other former Microsoft engineers. Sales University was part of the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator, and had raised funding from angels. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. EdCast is backed by GE Asset Management and Softbank Capital, and recently raised $10M in funding; the company is based in Mountain View, California.
