PulsedLight Acquired By Garmin
Bend, Oregon-based PulsedLight, a developer of optical distance measurement sensors, has been acquired by Garmin International, Garmin said today. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. PulsedLight makes LIDAR-powered sensors used for optical distance measurement. Garmin said that PulseLight will continue to have an office in Bend. PulsedLight was led by Dennis Corey. Its products are used for automotive blind-spot sensing, smart city traffic monitoring , 3-D image scanning, collision avoidance, industrial fluid/grain/solids level measurement, security system components, musical instruments, medical imaging, aerospace, and other applications.
