Two Garmin Engineers Shot, One Killed In Racist Hate Crime In Kansas
Two engineers who work for GPS manufacturer Garmin have been shot, with one killed, in a hate crime in Kansas, by a suspect who reportedly told bartenders he had killed two "Middle Eastern" men. Garmin, which has offices in Salem, Oregon, and has a major location in Olathe, Kansas. The two Garmin employees, Alok Madasani and Srinivas Kuchibhotla, apparently were hanging out at a local sports bar on Thursday night, when they were attacked by suspect Adam Purinton. Kuchibotla was killed, and his friend, Madasani, was critically wounded. A third man, Ian Grillot, was injured when he attempted to help the two.
