Pi Corporation Acquired By EMC

Seattle-based Pi Corporation has been acquired by EMC, the data storage giant said late Thursday afternoon. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Pi Corporation is a developer of software for personal information management. According to EMC, Pi founder and CEO Paul Maritz will join the firm as head of its new Cloud Infrastructure and SErvices Division. Pi employes approximately 100 engineers in the U.S., Canada, and India. EMC said that it will continue to expand operations in Seattle along with Pi's other offices.
