Microsoft Swaps CFO
Redmond-based Microsoft Corp. said Tuesday afternoon that the firm's CFO, Chris Liddell, is leaving the company at the end of the year, and that it has appointed Peter Klein as the firm's new Chief Financial Officer. Klein has been at Microsoft since 2002, and is CFO of its Business Division. Klein has also served at McCaw Cellular Communications, Orca Bay Capital, and HomeGrocer.com. Liddell had been CFO of Microsoft since May of 2005. In a statement, Microsoft said that Liddell is looking at "a number of opportunities" to expand his career beyond being a CFO.
