Maveron Comes Out The Big Winner In Zulily IPO
In venture capital, there are the wins, and then there are really big wins. For Seattle investment firm Maveron--the venture capital firm co-founded by Starbucks founder Howard Schultz--Zulily was a really, really, really big win. Maveron invested a total of $6M in Zulily back in 2009, with its return on Zulily worth over $1 billion after last week's IPO of Zulily. Maveron owned 22 percent of Zulily at the IPO.
