iLike Acquisition Confirmed

Social networking site MySpace confirmed it acquisition of Seattle's iLike Wednesday, without revealing any new information about the buy. MySpace said it acquired iLike, partly to bring "world class talent" into the company, and will be bringing on the entire iLike team. iLike will remain in Seattle, and CEO Ali Partovi, President Hadi Partovi and CTO Nat Brown continue on heading up the firm. iLike operates a social music discovery service which allows users to share information about their favorite artists, music, and share playlists and recommendations.
