Amazon Completes Acquisition Of Ring, Drops Ring Doorbell Price to $99.99

Seattle-based Amazon said Thursday that it has completed its acquisition of video security doorbell maker Ring, and has also dropped the price of Ring's flagship product, the Ring Video Doorbell, to only $99.99. Amazon paid approximately $1 billion for Ring. Amazon said that it would continue to operate Ring, Blink, and Amazon Cloud Cam under their respective brands after the acquisition.
