Amazon's Ring Launches Neighbors, An App To Share Crime, Safety Alerts
Ring, the company which develops the popular line of video doorbells which was acquired by Amazon in April, has launched a new neighborhood networking app to share crime and safety information. Ring said on Tuesday that it has launched a new app, Neighbors, which allows users to get real time, local crime and safety information from their neighbors and law enforcement. The app also allows users to share videos and screen grabs from Ring's devices. According to Ring, the new app works both on iOS and Android. The app provides safety alerts from local law enforcement and Ring, lets users share crime information, videos, photo, and text, and more. Ring, which was founded by Jamie Siminoff, was acquired by Amazon for approximately $1 billion in April.
