Vulcan Names Ghaffari Chief Investment Officer

Seattle-based Vulcan Inc., the investment firm of Paul G. Allen, said this morning that it has named Paul Ghaffari as the Chief Investment Officer of Vulcan Capital. Ghaffari was most recently at Palatine Hill Partners, an investment firm he founded. He was also founder of Capitoline LLC, founding partner of FrontPoint Partners, and a portfolio manager at Soros Fund Management. Vulcan said Ghaffari will be responsible for investments in both public and private securities, and in both traditional and alternative assets.
