Spaceflight Signs Brazilian Launch Contract
Seattle-based satellite launch arranger Spaceflight has signed up another client, looking for a rideshare to space, with the Brazilian Space Agency. According to Spaceflight, it was awarded a contract to launch Brazil's Amazonia-1 Earth observation satellite, in mid-2020. The launch will be aboard a PSLV rocket. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Spaceflight said the Amazonia-1 satelite is the first Earth observation satellite to be completely designed, integrated, tested and operated by Brazil.
