Dolly Expands Into New Markets

Seattle-based Dolly, which operates an on-demand furniture moving and delivery service, says it has expanded into Los Angeles and Orange County, California, as part of a continued national rollout for the service. The startup, led by CEO Mike Howell, said the expansio nfollows is launch last month in San Francisco and Washington, D.C. The new markets come on top of the firm's existing operations in Seattle, Portland, San Diego, Denver, Chicago, Philadelphia and Boston. Dolly says it now has over 5,000 of the truck owners who are providing the actual moving and delivery services on its platform, who it calls "Helpers", with plans to add hundreds more in those new markets.
