FLIR Systems Acquires Acyclica

Wilsonville, Oregon-based FLIR Systems announced today that it has acquired Denver-based Acyclica, a provider of cloud-based software which use data from such things as visible and thermal cameras, roadway sensors, radars, and intersection signals to provide insights to transportation departments. Terms of the acquisition were not announced. FLIR said the deal will help advance its Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) business, adnd will help add a new sensing platform and a data analytics software element to the company. Acyclica's software already was integrated with FLIR's cameras and sensors. FLIR said that Acyclica wwill be part of its ITS division within the FLIR Commercial Business Unit.
