Microsoft: Russian Hackers Targeting Republican Groups

Microsoft says that a number of fake websites, linked to Russian intelligence services, have been targeting Republican groups critical of President Vladimir Putin. Microsoft said on Tuesday that it shut down six, fake websites that attempted to appear as Republican conservative think tanks in a "spear phishing" attempt to gain passwords and credentials to such groups as the Hudson Institute and the International Republican Institute.
