Maveron Backs SafeTrek In $3.2M Round For Personal Safety App
SafeTrek, the developer of a personal safety app which calls the police for you with your information when you are scared, has raised $3.2M in a seed funding round, the company said on Thursday. The St. Louis startup said the round was led by Cultivation Capital, and also included New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Maveron, and Aspect. The company's mobile app provides a "panic button" which automatically connects with local 911 numbers and emergency services, even if a person is unable to talk or provide their information.
