Circle Media Raises $10M For Family Device Management
Portland, Oregon- and Cypress, California-based Circle Media, a startup developing gadgets which help parents manage the Internet use of their kids, has raised $10M in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Relay Ventures. Circle's flagship device is the Circle with Disney, which connects to a home's Wi-Fi network, and lets parents identify what devices (including smartphones, tablets, computers, and gaming consoles) have access to the Internet, and lets those parents control what kinds of content can be accessed via those devices, what time they can be used, and even be used to entirely pause the Internet access of a household. The device can even set a per-person limit on access to specific applications--for example, limits on Facebook, Snapchat, or Twitter. More information »
