Amazon Expands In Kansas
Seattle-based Amazon.com said today that it is opening up yet another fulfillment center, this time in Edgerton, Kansas. According to Amazon.com, it will create approximately 1,000, full-time hourly positions at the new location, which will serve the Kansas City region. Amazon also has another, Kansas facility in Lenexa. The new 800,000 plus square-foot location will pick, pack, and ship large items, such as big-screen televisions, sports equipment or kayaks, to customers, according to Amazon.com.
