SafeRide Health Snags Funding To Expand To Seattle, Portland
SafeRide Health, which provides transportation of patients to health care providers, has scored funding and backing of startup accelerator and investor Amplify.LA, and is planning to launch in Seattle and Portland. Size of the funding was not announced. SafeRide Health, led by CEO Robbins Schrader, provides a way that allows hospitals to book medically qualified transportation for their patients--particularly those who are poor or underserved--to help them make their doctor's visits. The service is aimed at reducing unnecessary emergency room visits. The company currently serves areas around the Midwest and Chicago, and specifically says it is soon launching in Seattle and Portland.
