Against Gravity Beams In $5M

Seattle-based virtual reality game maker Against Gravity, maker of the augmented reality/virtual reality title Rec Room, has raised $5M in a seed funding. The funding came from Sequoia, First Round Ventures, Acequia, Vulcan Capital, Maveron Ventures, Anorak, Betaworks, and the Venture Reality Fund. Against Reality's Rec Room title runs on the HTC Vive and Oculus Touch, and lets players interact in a virtual reality "social club" revolving around virtual games of disc golf, charades, paintball, and other games.
