Amazon Opens New Office In Austin

Seattle-based Amazon.com said on Wednesday that it is opening up a new, software development office in Austin, Texas, as it looks to tap into the region's talent in the game development area. Amazon said that it is opening up the new office to work on Amazon Lumberyard, the company's 3D game engine. Amazon said that Austin is "one of the long-standing centers of gravity for great game development talent, and innovation in community-driven games."
