CoolaData Finds $5.6M, Sets Up Shop In Portland
CoolaData, a developer of business intelligence and behavioral analytics software which was founded in Israel, said today that it has raised $5.6M in a funding round, and set up its U.S. headquarters in Portland. The company said that it has named Dan Choenbaum as its CEO as part of the funding. The funding came from funding from Salesforce Ventures, 83North Ventures (Formerly Greylock Israel), Carmel Ventures and Teec Angel Fund. The company cited the presence of companies such as Google, New Relic and Airbnb, along with Portland's reputation as a tech hub in the "Silicon Forest", for its decision to set its U.S. headquarters in Portland.
