Tripwire Sues UpGuard Over Patent
Portland-based security and compliance software developer Tripwire has sued UpGuard, claiming intellectual property infringement and misappropriation, the company said Tuesday. The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. Federal District Court for the District of Oregon. Tripguard says the lawsuit alleges UpGuard has violated the company's patent, United States Patent No. 7,316,016, and seeks damages. UpGuard, based in Mountain View, California, is the developer of compliance, cyber risk, and vulnerability assessment software.
