Amazon Eyes Acquisition Of Souq.com For $1 Billion, Say Reports

Seattle-based Amazon.com is in talk to buy Dubai-based Souq.com, an online retailer of electronics, clothing, baby items and toys, home goods, and more, in a deal worth $1 billion, according to reports over the long weekend. Souq offers up many of the same kinds of items sold by Amazon.com--including groceries--to the United Arab Emirates.
