Black Pixel Rolls Out Massive Set Of Free Icons For App Developers
Seattle-based BlackPixel is making life easier -- a lot easier -- for mobile app developers, saying on Friday that it has launched a big collection of icons aimed at use in iOS, Android, and web projects, all for free. The new Luminance icon set has over 19,000 icons, in multiple icon styles, with various stroke weights and fills. Black Pixel is both its own software developer--best known for its NetNewsWire, Kaleidoscope, and Versions apps--and also develops projects for its own clients, as an agency. The company did not say why it decided to release all of those icon assets to the community, but did ask designers to tweet out when they use the company's icons.
