Amazon Opens Another Fulfillment Center In Texas
Amazon.com announced this morning that it is opening up yet another fulfillment center in the state of Texas, this time in Houston. The company, which already runs five fulfillment centers and has one in construction in the state, said the new 855,000 square foot center will have workers picking, placing, and shipping smaller items such as books, electronics, and toys to customers. Amazon says it already has more than 10,000 full time hourly workers in Texas, and expects the new center to add another 1,000.
