T-Mobile To Give Away Free Pokemon GO Data For A Year
Bellevue-based mobile carrier T-Mobile is jumping on the Pokemon GO craze, saying that it will give away free, unlimited data for playing the popular game on Tuesday--if its subscribers download its "T-Mobile Tuesday" app. The company said that it will let its customers play Pokemon Go for a year without touching their high speed data requirements, as long as users download its app. The app is used by T-Mobile to offer up deals and promotions to its users. T-Mobile said the big "Pokemon GO" day also will include free rides on Lyft (up to $15) to a PokeStop or PokeGym, free Wendy's Frost to Pokemon Go players, and more. Pokemon GO requires both GPS and mobile data connectivity for the popular game to work.
