Amazon Ropes In Salesforce In Major Cloud Deal

In what is a major deal for Amazon Web Services, Amazon.com said Wednesday afternoon that Salesforce has selected AWS to deploy core services in the company's cloud-based services. Salesforce said its Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, App Cloud, Community Cloud, Analytics Cloud will use AWS as its preferred, public cloud infrastructure provider, including an international infrastructure expansion. Salesforce.com hosts third party apps for Salesforce through its cloud services. Financial impact of the deal were not disclosed.
