Vadium Acquisition By AlphaCipher Closes

Seattle-based AlphaCipher Acquisition Corporation, the company which is acquiring the assets of Vadium out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy, said late Monday that it has closed its acquisition of the technology and related assets of Vadium. As part of thea cquisition, AlphaCipher said it will rename itself to Vadium Technology Corporation. The new company will be led by Rod Nicholls. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. The deal to acquire Vadium first was announced in January of 2014. The company did not explain the very long delay between the announcement and final close of the deal. Vadium is a provider of digital privacy and identification software.
