Vadium Technology Names CEO

Tacoma-based data encryption software publisher Vadium Technology Inc. reported Tuesday that it has hired Jose Antonio Rios as chief executive officer. The business said Rios, who was also named to the company's board of directors, possesses more than 30 years of international executive experience, most recently as international president of Global Crossing. A native of Venezuela, Rios also served as chief administration officer and as chairman of Global Crossing's Latin America and UK boards, Vadium said. Before Global Crossing, Vadium noted, Rios was president and CEO of Telefonica Media and chairman of Atento. He was also the founding president of DirecTV Latin America and a vice president of Hughes Electronics, Vadium added.
