Sensoro Backs Google Beacon Standard
Seattle-based beacon developer Sensoro, which is backed by Nokia Growth Partners (NPG), New World Development Company Limited and Mandra Capital, and was spun out of JMicrosoft Ventures in 2013, said it has started supporting a new beacon standard from Google, called Eddystone-EID. According to Sensoro, it has linked with lifestyle brand operator K11 and beacon installer Sparta Digital to implement that support for the Google beacon standard. That new standard is supposed to be more secure, reduce malicious asset tracking, and other security issues between beacons and smart devices.
