Microsoft Backs Container Software Developer Mesosphere In $73.5M Round
Microsoft is one of the lead investors in container software developer Mesosphere, in a big funding round announced by Mesosphere today. According to Mesosphere, Microsoft and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) led a $73.5M, series C funding for the company, which also included Andreessen Horowitz, Khosla Ventures, Fuel Capital, A Capital and Triangle Peak Partners. Mesosphere develops software for managing and deploying enterprise "containers", which are used for deploying, scaling, and managing enterprise applications and their surrounding software environments. Mesosphere is based in San Francisco. More information »
