Tableau Buys HyPer For Database Software

Seattle-based Tableau said on Wednesday that it has acquired HyPer, a German data processing technology and database developer, whose high performance databases are used by business intelligence customers. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Tableau said that it will integrate HyPer's database system into its own product offerings, allowing customers to get faster analysis of their data, better data integation, and richer analytics. HyPer's database offers up OLTP, OLAP, and OBRP data ingestion.
