Expedia Shows Off Design For New Seattle HQ
Expedia showed off its vision for its new, Seattle headquarters today, releasing a number of illustrations from its architect, Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, showing a green, park like setting for its new 600,000 square foot headquarters. Expedia says it hopes to start construction on Phase I of its new headquarters location by the end of 2016, and hopes to have employees moved in by 2019. Expedia says its new four-story office building, which overlooks Elliott Bay, will include a conference center, a big lawn and natural landscape, and a giant transparent face to the building. Expedia announced plans to move to a new location in Seattle, from its existing offices in Bellevue, last April.
