Expedia Rolls Out New Rewards Points Feature

Bellevue-based travel site Expedia announced today that it is enhancing its service, and will allow members of its rewards program to more easily redeem points for hotel purchases. According to Expedia, its Expedia+ rewards members can directly apply their points to hotel reservations, rather than having to convert those points into separate coupons. the company said those points can now be applied directly on checkout pages for access to specific hotels. Expedia says the move is part of an expansion of its points program, which it says it hopes to extend to a range of other options in the future.
