Moz Acquires SERPScape
Seattle-based search engine optimization software and services provider Moz said Thursday that it has acquired SERPScape, the developer of tools used by search engine optimization (SEO) professionals to analyze their search efforts. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Moz, it has hired on Ross Jones, SERPscape's founder, as Principal Search Scientist. In a blog post to supporters, Jones said he took the position at Moz due to a huge increas in the "sophistication and complexity" of Google's search algorithms, and the ability at Moz for him to focus on research.
