Amazon.com Extends One Hour Delivery To Local Stores In Manhattan
Seattle-based Amazon.com is extending its Prime Now one hour delivery service, to deliver products from not just the e-commerce giant, but also local stores. Amazon.com said this week that the service--which rolled out in Manhattan on Thursday--will deliver meals and bake goods, and other food items from local bakeries and markets. The new local store delivery requires customers to use Amazon's Prime Now app for iOS or Android. The company did not say if it expects to extend the local store delivery beyond Manhattan. Amazon currently offers up the one hour, Prime Now delivery service in Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Brooklyn, Dallas, Manhattan and Miami.
