Starbucks, Spotify Tie On In Store Streaming
Seattle-based Starbucks and streaming music service Spotify said Monday that the two companies have partnered to stream music into Starbucks 7,000 U.S., company-owned stores. Financial terms of the deal were not announced. The deal makes it so that Starbucks' Rewards custoemrs can help shape in-store playlists, and also gives out premium subscriptions to Starbucks employees--who will be able to also determine the playlist in their own stores.
