Instacart Launches One Hour Flower Delivery In Seattle, Portland
In what might be one of the few categories that Amazon.com does not offer up one hour delivery in the region , Silicon Valley startup Instacart has launched one hour, flower delivery in both Seattle and Portland. Instacart said that--just ahead of Mother's Day--it will deliver flowers from Whole Foods Market in both Portland and Seattle, in addition thirteen of the company's other markets. Instacart offers up mobile driven, grocery delivery in an hour to its customers. Amazon does not yet offer up one hour flower delivery in Seattle or Portland, although the company apparently just launched Prime Now flower delivery in the New York City area last week, according to the New York Post. Instacart is venture backed by Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers, Comcast Ventures, Dragoneer Investment Group, Thrive Capital, Valiant Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Khosla Ventures and Sequoia Capital.
