OpenDoor Looks To Bring Instant Home Sales To Portland
Homeowners in Portland will soon be able to submit their homes online for a near-instant sale, thanks to the expansion plans of a Silicon Valley startup. Opendoor, a San Francisco startup, operates an online real estate marketplace, which allows homeowners to submit their property information online, and instantly get an offer for their house. The startup said today that it raised $20M in a funding round, specifically for expansion of the service beyond its first market in Phoenix, to Portland, Oregon, as well as Dallas, Texas. The company is backed by GGV Capital and Khosla Ventures.
